Lovely beaches and day time work made this place special for me. We got work in a vineyard after our first foray into job hunting. We went canoeing one weekend at the Blackwood River (see picture).
First of all we stopped off in the beautiful Margaret River where we worked in a vineyard to raise some funds. Margaret River was the perfect tonic after the city living in Perth became clostrophobic. Lovely beaches and day time work made this place special for me. Like Perth Margaret River had its fair share of loonies. Loon Xwing performed at the Traveller's Rest one saturday night. The regular crowd of heavy metallers didn't approve of this guy's style. They tried telling him by swinging punches as he inventively used the tables and bar as a runway. However he was too fast and agile and he didn't let it bother him.
